I’m normally posting things like this only on the blog’s Facebook page, but it’s so good I have to post it on here as well. Bastille have done a special piano session for Huw Stephens’ show on BBC Radio last night.
The piano sessions are a regular feature on the Welsh radio presenter’s late evening show. Artists come in to play stripped down piano versions of their songs. Most of the time this is really beautiful. It’s amazing how different songs sound when they’re arranged in another way.
So this week it was up to British indie pop band Bastille. They came in for a little talk and then played three songs – their new single Blame and two Christmas covers O Holy Night and All I Want For Christmas Is You. It all sounded very special and I enjoyed it a lot. And of course one of the covers has a special twist, that’s why this band never fails to impress.
Watch the videos of all three song performances below.
Also, you can listen back to the whole of Huw Stevens’ show to hear all of the chat as well here. Bastille are on after about an hour. Enjoy!
