New week new songs and I am excited. Once again I have picked my favourite Songs of the Week and here they are.
Revolution is the newest single by The Score. The indie rock duo from Los Angeles created a very current song regarding the lyrics. I can’t help but think about all the things going on in this world right now listening to it.
The song I’ve been most excited about this week is Maximo Park’s Risk To Exist. This single is a first step towards the release of the band’s new album in April. Frontman Paul Smith told Radio X, that the songs on the new record will be “more socially-minded” and written about the events happening in our world currently. That sounds like it’s going to be a great one and I can’t wait to hear it.
Better Off Without You by Mallory Knox is the most rocking one on these Songs of the Week. It features great guitar riffs and gripping vocals. I enjoy it a lot.
Also, Lower Than Atlantis released a new song. Boomerang is another track released from their upcoming album Safe In Sound. It sounds a little different to their earlier singles but it sounds good.
Easy Way Out is the new single by Happy Camper. I really enjoy the sound of this song. It’s a little weird, somehow hypnotic and great to listen to. Overall it’s very catchy.
Last but obviously not least it’s You Look Good by Lady Antebellum. The band from Nashville will be releasing their sixth studio album this year. You Look Good is the first nibble we get off it. It’s a modern and catchy song.
Happy with my choices? Or would you have put other songs on this week’s list? Let me know!
